New Medical Oncologist Dr. Faye Yin Joins WMHS
Faye Yin, M.D., has joined the Western Maryland Health System as a medical oncologist at the Schwab Family Cancer Center.
Before coming to Cumberland, Dr. Yin completed a fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute and National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, Maryland. She did her residency in internal medicine at Medstar’s Good Samaritan Hospital, which is affiliated with Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore.
Dr. Yin received her medical degree from the First Military Medical University in her native China, where she also did a fellowship in hematology. She also completed a residency in emergency medicine at Beijing General Hospital.
Her work experience includes time at the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, University of Maryland Greenebaum Cancer Center in Baltimore, the Weinberg Cancer Institute at MedStar’s Franklin Square Medical Center and Good Samaritan Hospital in Baltimore. Dr. Yin also completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill/Gene Therapy Center in Chapel Hill.
Dr. Yin is board certified in internal medicine and board eligible for certification in hematology and medical oncology. She is a member of the American Society of Hematology, American Society of Clinical Oncology and American College of Physicians.
Her office is located in suite 440 in the Western Maryland Medical Arts Center at 12502 Willowbrook Road in Cumberland. Appointments can be scheduled by calling 240-964-8680.
