Stroke Center Receives Gold Plus Achievement Award for 2014
The WMHS Stroke Center recently received the 2014 "Get with the Guidelines-Stroke Gold Plus Achievement Award.” The American Heart Association and the American Stroke Association recognize WMHS for achieving 85% or higher adherence to all indicators for consecutive 12 month intervals and 75% or higher compliance with 5 out of 8 "Get With the Guidelines" Stroke Quality Measures to improve quality of patient care and outcomes in addition to achieving Time to Intravenous Thrombolytic Therapy in less than 60 minutes in 50% or more of more applicable acute ischemic stroke patients during one calendar quarter.
Members of the WMHS Stroke Center Committee have worked diligently to make this award a reality. It recognizes WMHS for outstanding achievement in the Get With the Guidelines Quality Improvement Program. Last year, WMHS received the 2013 "Get With the Guidelines" Stroke Silver Plus Achievement Award.
You can expect care that’s consistent with the latest scientific guidelines from the American Heart Association and the American Stroke Association.
Congratulations to the WMHS Stroke Center team for this national recognition.
