WMHS Reaches Out to WV Flood Victims
The Western Maryland Health System donated needed supplies to those affected by the recent flooding in West Virginia. WMHS worked with the Mineral County Sheriff’s office to identify the most critically needed items, which where then donated by WMHS employees and supplemented with purchases by WMHS. These items became part of the Mineral County supplies delivered to southern West Virginia on Saturday, July 2. A second collection of supplies is underway at WMHS. Pictured loading the last of the supplies for the first delivery are (left to right) WMHS employees Dave Pendergast, Trevor Sites, Connie Callis, Samantha Jones, Patty Wright, and Brent Thornton. Assisting on the truck are teen volunteers Jonathan Dayton and Megan Machin.
