Diagnostic cardiology services are complemented by open-heart surgery and other interventional cardiology procedures located at the new Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.

SERVICE GUIDE 10 • Cardiac Stress Lab: Includes Nuclear, Pharmaceutical and Exercise Stress Testing Hours of Operation: • Electrogradiograph 7 Days a Week 7:00 a.m. until 11:30 p.m. by Cardiology Staff 11:30 p.m. until 7:00 a.m. by staff from ED and Respiratory • All other routine diagnostic procedures Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Scheduling for Cardiology Diagnostic Services: • Dobutamine Stress tests - dial 1500 • All other tests are scheduled through Centralized Scheduling at 8888 or Toll Free 866-369-1122
ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY Services Provided: • 2-D Echocardiography (Color and Doppler) • Transesophageal Echocardiography-TEE • Stress Echocardiography • Contrast Echocardiography Hours of Operation: • Inpatient: Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. After Hours Stat/Emergency: In house coverage with Echo Tech “On-Call” • Outpatient: Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Scheduling for Echocardiography Services: • Transesophageal Echo - dial 1500 • All other Echocardiography testing is scheduled through Central Scheduling at 8888
INVASIVE CARDIOLOGY SERVICES Location: 3rd Floor Telephone: 3730 Hours: Monday - Friday 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. + On Call 24/7 Services include diagnostic and interventional coronary angiography including stent placement, rotablater. Atrial Septal Defect and Patent Foramen Ovale repair and cardiac rhythm management, including electrophysiology, ablation, long-term event monitoring, permanent pacemaker and cardio-defibrillator implantation.
CARDIOVASCULAR UNIT (CVU) Location: 3rd Floor Telephone: 3000 The Cardiovascular Unit specializes in open heart surgery, as well as cardiothoracic and cardiovascular post surgical care. Other services include care of critical cardiac patients, including but not limited to Post-PTCA/Stent patients, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy, and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump.
