Dr. Stansbury Receives Inaugural Physician Service Excellence Award

John Stansbury, M.D., from the health system’s Hunt Club Medical Clinic, was selected as the first recipient of the Physician Service Excellence Award.  The new award was developed by the Service Excellence Physician Recognition Team and was presented at the General Medical Staff meeting in September. 

Dr. Stansbury was cited on the several nomination forms for his compassion and respectful attitude toward his patients and co-workers, as well as his kind and professional demeanor.  He is committed to quality patient care and performance improvement.  His effort to keep his patients informed is legendary and his willingness to adapt positively to change is refreshing and contagious.

A member of the medical staff since 1979, Dr. Stansbury was a physician and director of the Emergency Department at Memorial for eight years.  In 1987, he became a physician at the Hunt Club Medical Clinic.  Dr. Stansbury has also been an avid supporter of youth activities in the community.
