Samantha Jones Named WMHS Pinnacle Award Recipient

Samantha "Sam" Jones, a registered nurse and discharge planner at Braddock who has been employed for 19 years, received the Pinnacle Award as the WMHS Employee of the Year. The award is presented to one of the monthly Values in Action Spirit Award recipients from the past 12 months. The nominees included: Beth Messenger, Wellness Center; Laurie Wilson, Laboratory; Chay Crosser, Dialysis Unit; Melanie Wilt, Periopertive Services; Ron McKenney, Jr., Security; Carol Carr, Dietary; Mike Helmstetter, Facilities; Connie Davis, Adult Medical Day Care; Cookie Wharren, 4 South; Kathy Griffith, Medical Records; and Diane Winters, 4 South.

In addition to receiving a commemorative trophy, Sam received a cash award of $2,500 for being named the Pinnacle Award recipient. The annual Employee Service Awards dinner, which was held on April 24 at Frostburg State University's Lane Center, honored nearly 400 employees who were celebrating milestone anniversaries at the health system.
