WMHS Perinatal Unit Offers Neonatology Echo Tests Locally

July 3, 2008 - Neonatology services at the Western Maryland Health System have recently expanded to include on-site echocardiograms from registered members of the Cardiology Echo staff. Pictured in the Nursery at WMHS are (from left) are Dr. Michael Sukumar, Medical Director of Neonatology; Debbie Jenkins, Nurse Manager, WMHS Perinatal Unit; Jackie Bauer, CRNA; Linda Kelly and Kathy Cox, Certified Echosonographers; Chrissy Ruhl, Cardiology Nurse Manager; and Diane Wright, Clinical Coordinator, Cardiology. Previously, newborns had to leave the area for this and other neonatology treatment. Dr. Sukumar is one of six physicians and a nurse practitioner (Bauer) who make-up Neonatology Associates and are on the medical staff at WMHS.
