It's easy to become a member of Senior Connection, simply fill out the membership application and send it to the WMHS Wellness Center. Once you complete your membership application, you have immediate access to the following services. Opportunities for Travel and FunMembership in Senior Connection makes you eligible to join our travel groups. Special trips are planned exclusively for Senior Connection members and their family and friends. Trips for relaxation, shopping, entertainment, and just plain fun are offered throughout the year. Access to Wellness ProgramsYou'll receive free admission or a substantial discount to health promotion activities, such as educational program and health screenings. As a Senior Connection member, you'll be notified about special programs designed especially for seniors. Information and ReferralEvery now and then, everyone needs special attention. As a member of Senior Connection, you will have access to our Senior Connection representative, who can help answer your questions and provide information about your healthcare needs. Your Senior Connection representative also will be able to help link you to Western Maryland Health System programs and services, as well as to other resources in the community. Free NewsletterYou will receive a free Senior Connection Newsletter created just for seniors. This newsletter features information about Senior Connection activities, as well as articles on health and other topics of interest to seniors. Senior Connection Supper ClubThe Senior Connection Supper Club will be offered for Senior Connection members. Join us for a delicious meal and enjoy a presentation on health-related topics or entertainment after dinner. Free Healthcare Billing and Claims AssistanceSenior Connection members have easy access to free assistance with their questions about healthcare billing or insurance claims. The Senior Connection Representative is available to assist you in understanding Medicare benefits, sorting and clarifying healthcare bills, and filling out Medicare and other insurance forms. Free Notary ServiceA free notary service for Senior Connection members is available on both the Memorial and Braddock Campuses. Just call the Senior Connection Representative to make schedule a time that's most convenient for you. To become a member of Senior Connection, please call the Senior Connection Representative at the WMHS Wellness Center at 301-759-9355, extension 3006, or toll-free at 800-224-8688 to request a membership application. Once we receive your application, we will send you a membership card and information packet. And that's just the beginning of a full range of benefits designed to keep you healthy and active all year long! Senior Connection is a membership program sponsored by the Western Maryland Health System for people age 55 and older who want to stay healthy, active, and involved. Membership entitles you to free and discounted services, including health education programs, health screenings, social activities, and much more.
