On Wednesday, February 20 , Congressman David Trone, (D-MD 6^th District) visited UPMC Western Maryland as part a tour of the two most western counties in the Congressman’s district. The visit to UPMC Western Maryland included a tour of the new Emergency Services Department Behavioral Health Unit which is scheduled to open in early April. The visit also included an overview of the residential crisis facility that UPMC Western Maryland will be opening near the UPMC Western Maryland campus on Leslie Lane, as well as an update on the Regional Opioid Task Force of which UPMC Western Maryland is an integral part.  Hosting the Congressman for the UPMC Western Maryland visit were Senior Vice President/Chief Operating Officer Nancy Adams; Vice President/Chief Nursing Officer James Karstetter; Jeff O’Neal, Executive Director of Clinics, Practices and Behavioral Health Services; Matt Gilmore, General Counsel; and Kate Donaghy, Director of Community Relations and Marketing.
