Hope Lives!

With your help, the Auxiliary made a 2019 pledge of $1 million for construction and operation of the Center for Hope and Healing to combat the opioid crisis in our region and offer patients the time and place to take their next steps toward a life free from addiction. In lieu of last year's Snow Ball gala, the Auxiliary undertook a Hope Lives! appeal, and your generous contributions raised over $65,000 toward our goal! This year, the Auxiliary invites you to a new summer gala called A Shimmering Summer Night to continue to meet its commitment to health and wholeness for our region. The WMHS Auxiliary expresses our grateful thanks to a generous community for this investment in life-changing care.

The new Center for Hope and Healing opened its doors in September 2020 and has already successfully treated more than 250 individuals. Its unique, home-like setting and familiar staff provide a safe harbor for those who are struggling, and the real-life stories on display across the center’s walls – from photographs and paintings to moving testimonials – are stories of hope and victory over substances. The Auxiliary is overjoyed to partner with our community to see this vision for our region become a reality. Click on the link above to take a virtual tour of the new center!
